Community Outreach
Kannapolis Food Pantry / Joseph’s Closet
Kannapolis Food Pantry is a Benevolent Ministry of West Point Baptist Church. The Kannapolis Food Pantry provides grocery items to those of our community who are in need. In addition to nonperishable food items, we distribute Panera bread and perishable food items from SYSCO and Second Harvest Food bank.

Requirements:
1. ID – Must be either a driver’s license or ID card (USA issued only) or social security card.
2. Proof of address to show a Kannapolis residence. (example – utility bill or rent receipt)
Outreach Rooms:
The outreach rooms are opened each week to our clients. Here, they can share their prayer request and praise reports. This is an excellent opportunity for one-on-one sessions with caring individuals. It is also an opportunity for our counselors to witness to our clients.
Joseph’s Closet:
Joseph’s Closet provides quality clothing for our food pantry clients. Each client is given the opportunity to select clothing for themselves and their family members at no charge.

Parish Nurse:
We have a nurse who helps with health problems and the health concerns of our clients. She does blood pressures screenings, glucose screenings, and helps our clients access the health services they need.

Volunteers (Those who wish to volunteer need to contact Jan White in order to be placed on the roster for working)

Jesse's House for the Needy
​
Jesse’s House Mission Statement:
We provide a safe and welcoming environment for our homeless community to obtain food, clothing, counseling, and the opportunity to witness the love of Jesus. We aim to encourage, build confidence and inspire those to be self reliant in society.
​
Community meal for the homeless and those in need the last Saturday of each month from 1 pm - 3 pm in the fellowship hall beginning on Sat October 28th.
