Acts 1:8 Missions

There is a Biblical principle behind our missionality here at West Point. Matthew 28 commands us to go and make disciples of all nations. The key word here is “GO!” While we also support various mission ministries through our financial giving, we are still required to go. But where do we go? Again, we refer back to scripture. The Bible says Acts 1:8 says, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Based on that scripture, we are to simply cover the globe. We start in our “Jerusalem” or our own back yard. From there, we head to “Judea“, which we might see as our entire state or region. Next we head to “Samaria,” which would cover the whole nation. Finally, we head to the “ends of the earth.”

Over the years, the Lord has led West Point to start local ministries and to go to many places throughout the world. Beyond our ongoing local Missions and Outreach, teams have literally been all over the world on mission for our Savior and we look forward to the many years of service that lie ahead. From construction to Vacation Bible School, when God calls, we respond.

We would love to have you come join us on our next Kingdom adventure!

Isaiah 6:8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
